 Miguel Ángel Galván was born in Mexico City on July 12, 1955. He is a poet and fiction writer who studied Lengua y Literatura Hispánicas at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), as well as Painting at La Esmeralda. His creative and editorial work includes serving on the editorial board of Panfleto y Pantomima, and contributing to cultural publications such as Fotozoom, La Enredadera, and Pintor de Papel.

His published works include the short story Toda la realidad (Panfleto y Pantomima, 1983), and several poetry collections: Cercano infierno (La Máquina de Escribir, 1979), Marginalia (UAM–A, Laberinto, no. 31, 1984), Canciones para sobrevivir (Conaculta, Luzazul, 1992), and Reposar en la nada (Enkidú/Ediciones del Lirio, Desde la Otra Orilla, no. 4, 1999).
